We were in Chillicothe over the weekend so the grandparents and great-grandparents could see Hannah the Duck in person. The costume was actually a baby chick, but every time Hannah saw it she said "Duck. Quack, quack." Hannah got her very first taste of candy this Halloween...Reese's were okay, but she likes Kit Kats better. We were back home Halloween night to throw leaves in our backyard.

In the Park with Ollie
I am in love with these pictures of Hannah and Ollie at the park, so I made them super big. :) Here is my favorite one...
Hannah did a great job of walking on the wood beam all by herself.
This is what it looks like when you've seen big kids climb up up the ladder...and you want to do it too...but you can't figure out how.
Big Ollie!
Ollie and Hannah played in the leaves and put them in each other's hair. Ollie also taught Hannah how to climb up slides. They had a great time together!
Lake Lenexa
Last Saturday morning we wanted to do something outside and settled on Lake Lenexa. We've been there before, but it was a few years ago. I really wanted to see the dam again. However, we ran into a playground first and that is where Hannah wanted to stay. The playground had climbing rocks, so Hannah was in heaven.
The dam is in the distance. Hannah wouldn't go past the curved boardwalk. :(

Shawnee Mission Fall Festival
While Steve was on Saturday morning run, Hannah and I went to the Shawnee Mission Fall Festival. I didn't get to take many pictures, but her favorite things were listening and dancing to the live band. We also went on a covered wagon ride that was pulled by mules.

Deanna Rose with Grandparents
While Steve was gone for his work conference in New Orleans, my parents came down for a visit. Hannah and I wanted to show them Deanna Rose Farmstead. It was a little cold and windy that day, but they still enjoyed it. We even ran into Norah, who was there with her Grandma, too!

Zoo and Carnival
I am way behind in blogging, but here are some pictures from a few weekends back (September 25 to be exact) when we took advantage of "Teacher Day" at the zoo. Teachers and their families got in free, plus free tram, train, and carousel rides. Hannah's two favorite animals were the crowned cranes
and elephants.
But really her favorite thing at the zoo was the playground.
and eating animal crackers.
She also liked riding the tram and said "choo, choo" when we started moving. After her nap, we went to my school carnival where she jumped in an inflatable bouncy house. That was really the highlight of her day. She loves being around big kids and doing the same things that they do. Sorry, no pictures. :(
