Wonderscope

Another adventure with the Finleys:  Wonderscope!  It was Olive's first time.

Hannah doctoring a cat by putting a band-aid on it.

Olive doctoring a cat by trying to cut off its tail.

Olive was super excited to eat lunch a "big kid table" instead of a high chair.  She kept patting the bench and smiling.

While Olive was eating for another 10 minutes, Hannah and Body played with this.  Hannah put in scarves and Brody waited at the end for it to fly into his face.  There were lots of happy squeals.

Deanna Rose

I *think* this was Olive's first time at Deanna Rose.  It seems weird that we didn't go last year, but maybe not.  I remember not doing much of anything except feeding and diaper changing last year.  This summer is different.  The girls and I are having so much fun together, I don't know how I'm going to go back to teaching.  Hannah was really into the animals at Deanna Rose, and Olive was too...but maybe that was because Hannah was making animal sounds for everything and she found that really funny.

Notice the name of this cow...

Hannah's first horse ride!!  I described it to Steve as a pony and Hannah corrected me, "No, it was a really big horse."

She was equally excited about fishing, but disappointed that she didn't catch anything...maybe because I didn't pay to get any bait.  I am not a fisherwoman and wanted no part of getting a fish off the hook.  She can have just as much fun pretending, right?

Lunch break!

Hannah made friends with this goat and so we had to come back by later and feed it.

After nap cuddle time in Mama's bed: some of my sweetest memories of their childhood.

Father's Day 2012

Steve was in the Corporate Challenge duathlon on Father's Day, so we had to end our Chillicothe trip early. Steve got to run and bike (two of his favorite activities) and eat at Zarda's BBQ (one of his favorite restaurants).  We also went to Crown Center to see the dinosaurs (okay dinosaurs are one of Hannah's favorite things).  By the way, she is super excited to be studying dinosaurs.  We checked out about 20 dinosaur books from the library and it was the highlight of her day.

My girls are so blessed to have a wonderful dad.

Olive loved the trampoline and literally had to be dragged away.

swimming with Great Grandma, Ainlsyn, and Granny

It was funny that the girls had matching swimsuits. It was Hannah's first time "swimming" on her own with the floaty swimsuit to hold her up.  She usually still wants to hang on to me, but she saw Ainlsyn swim on her own so she tried it, too.
