Olive Stats- 10 months

Olive is very steady on her feet now.  She can stand on her own and her favorite thing to do is walk holding onto to someone's hands.  She is very independent, walking/crawling around the house and playing with toys on her own.  This month, she learned to point and her first tooth came in!  She is starting to show more of an interest in books.  Her favorite is "That's Not My Kitten."  It makes her laugh every time.

Silly Girls

This is pretty much how I will remember this past year: Hannah being silly and Olive loving every minute of it. I love these two together.

* Yes, I did let Hannah run inside a restaurant. Moms aren't supposed to do that. In my defense, there weren't any people in our section.

Jumping

Moms probably aren't supposed to let their kids jump on the couch.  Forget you saw this:

Olive's First Snow

Today was our first real snow this winter.  Twice it  has covered the ground (barely) and then melted away the next day.  I'm not sure this snow will stick around long either, but at least it was fun tonight.  Olive touched snow for the first time and didn't mind the cold.  She was only annoyed that she couldn't get enough on her hand to eat or move around easily in her snowsuit.

Of course she tried to eat this.

At the Park

The good thing about a mild winter: lots of trips to the park. I even got to jog with Olive, while Steve and Hannah played in the creek. I used to jog all the time with Hannah, but it is a rare occurance with Olive. She isn't sure she likes it, yet.

Swimming

Granny and Papa got us a membership to Matt Ross Community Center.  I work out there sometimes, but mostly we use it for the indoor pool.  Olive was a little reluctant at first, but now she loves to splash and play with the water toy.  Hannah loves the lazy river, turtle slide, and the pool noodles.

Baby Shower

Last weekend we went to Charlie and Julie's co-ed baby shower. Steve won 4 out of 6 baby games.  After awhile they stopped giving him prizes.  I was proudest of his diaper-changing win. :)

SEVEN of my friends are pregnant right now.  I guess that's what happens when you are in your early thirties.  Pregnancy is such a special time.  I'm so glad I got to experience it, but it's also fun to watch friends go through it.  You get all the excitement without the swollen ankles. :)  First up is Becky.  Her little girl is due any day now...
