Hannah's 6th Birthday

We had family over to our house for lunch and then we all went to the skating rink for Hannah's 6th birthday.  We invited her whole kindergarten class (only 12 kids), and ended up with 7 since a lot of people were out of town for spring break.

Olive and Gwendolyn are becoming buddies.  They are only 1.5 years apart and now Gwendolyn is big enough to chase her around.

Hannah was super excited to get the "Hannah" candles since her name has 6 letters!

On her actual birthday on the March 18th, Hannah opened the 6 presents from me (decorated by her).  Then she chose the day's activity (roller skating again with a friend from school) and dinner at her favorite restaurant (Panera).  Bonus:  Steve worked from home that day so he was able to see her open her presents and eat lunch with us.

Hannah's #1 requested b-day present was a Chinese yo-yo.  She saw them on Chinese New Year and had to have one.  Grandma came through for her and it arrived on the 18th!  It was a little difficult to practice with a little sister stuck on her....

St. Pat's

We started off the day with green eggs, ham, and a shamrock cookie.

Then off the library for a scavenger hunt and crafts.  The girls found St. Pat's symbols around the library and for a prize they could choose a chocolate gold coin or a toy gold coin that they could "keep forever."  Guess who chose which one?

Sky Zone Take 2

We first went to Sky Zone last fall.  Hannah loved it.  Olive refused to participate.  We tried it out again on the first day of spring break and had similar results...

And then in the last 10 minutes of our time limit Olive finally decided to give it a try....

Just like last time, we took lunch to eat in Antioch Park.  The girls love nature.  Olive wrote with a wet stick while Hannah collected acorns to make "boats" in the water.

Science City

On the Pi Day of the century we went to Science City.  Of course.  It Marissa and Casey's first time.  They are basically big kids, so they had a blast.  Also, I randomly saw a blogger family from Iowa there!  It was like a celebrity sighting...except I was the only one who knew them.

Uncle Casey works for Union Pacific.  That explains the salute.  Kinda.
