Omaha

We always like to do something special for our anniversary.  Last year we went parasailing in Mexico.  This year we were a little limited by a nursing baby, so we went to Omaha. :)  It was our first family-of-four vacation and we all had a great time!  We stayed at a hotel downtown which we loved because we could take a stroller walk to dinner each night.  The girls loved it because it had a pool.  We went to the zoochildren's museum, downtown art fair, pedestrian bridge, and a few parks.  Since Marissa and Casey just moved to Council Bluffs this summer, they came with us to the zoo and museum.  Hannah loved getting some aunt and uncle time!

favorite part of the trip:
Steve- The zoo and walking to restaurants from our hotel.
Megan- I liked eating dinner in the park with the geese all around our table.
Hannah- Swimming pool!!!
Olive- coo (we think this means stroller walks)

In the rain forest at the zoo

Hannah loved this fish and followed it around for awhile.  Although when we asked what was her favorite animal at the zoo she replied "zookeeper".  I'm sure that is some deep comment on society. :)

Omaha is filled with sculptures.  This was a park bench in the Gene Leahy Pedestrian Mall

Olive's first time in a swimming pool!

Trying to catch suspended balls at the museum- it didn't work.

Crossing the longest pedestrian bridge to link two states.

Playing in the fountains by the bridge

Hannah was very excited to get a goose feather in the Heartland of America Park.  While we were eating dinner the geese came right up to the table and looked at us.  Steve told me to turn around and one was just inches from my face!

We made a stop in Krug Park in St. Joseph, MO on the way home.  It was where we went on our first real date and on our first wedding anniversary.

There are lots more vacation pictures here.

Also, Gywn has screamed every time we have taken her swimming. Olive needs to teach her to relax!
