We took a ferry to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. It is a super cute little town.
We stayed on the top floor of an antique shop. Each family had their own living room, kitchen, and two bedrooms. It was perfect.

Because we never really got used to pacific time, we were always up before the sun. So Hannah and I took a walk down to the harbor to see the sunrise. This was the morning after her accident and she was not her usual smiling self.

Since most of our parks at home have logs and stumps to play on, when Olive saw the beach she said, "It is a huge playground!" The girls LOVED climbing on all the logs. We even made a teeter totter.
This was heaven for rock-loving girls.
We found lots of huge kelp on the shore that looked like huge snakes. It looked really weird and felt like rubber. They are called nereocystis or bull kelp.
Their favorite treasures from the beach: driftwood and a shell.

Lime Kiln State Park. The only thing the girls love more than climbing on logs is climbing on rocks.

I don't think any cookies make you sleepy. :) Lots of trees+water=driftwood. Come visit us anytime to hear more about the trip! Believe it or not, we have twice as many pictures as I put on the blog! :)
