Weekend

Steve and I like Fridays the best. Work is always good because who isn't in a great mood on a Friday? Then you have the whole weekend stretching out in front of you. Even if the weekend turns out to be not that good, you don't know that on Friday. On Friday everything seems great. Free food and music in the park make it even better. Last Friday Steve, Hannah, and I went for a jog and then met up at a park close to our house for the Fourth Friday Concert. There were hot dogs grilling, kids playing in the park, and people enjoying the band. It was pretty much the best the suburbs have to offer.

Saturday we went to look at a house in New Longview in Lee's Summit, MO. We are pretty sure we want to move in a few years, but we're not quite sure where we want to go. Right now we are just looking around trying to decide what area. New Longview is a new community with older style houses. It looks like Wisteria Lane on Desperate Housewives. I love the elementary school, too. It is a converted horse barn. But a big move like that would mean teaching at a different school and I really love my job now. When we were getting back on the highway from Lee's Summit we saw a sign for Sedalia and decided to go. We used to do spontaneous stuff like that all the time, but it is a little harder with Hannah. Luckily we had her diaper bag and a bottle. We were good to go. We called Marissa on the way and she directed us to her new apartment. Casey and Mom just happened to be there that day helping her put together her classroom. They were all very excited to get a surprise Hannah visit. We got to see Marissa's 2nd grade classroom and help her organize her books. It doesn't seem possible that she is all grown up with an apartment and a job. Because of building construction, her first day of school isn't until after Labor Day. When Hannah was in her last diaper we knew it was time to go. After wrangling her away from Grandma we drove back home. All in all, a wonderful weekend. Life is good.

Think Hannah will love my swings in the backyard.
Weird isn't to see your little sister having her own classroom and etc but very exciting!!!
Sounded like a fun time.
