Olive's 8th Birthday Party

Olive had her 8th birthday at Integrity Gymnastics.  We invited all the girls in her class plus Hannah and her friend Rachael.  Someone from Integrity supervised the gym and they provided all the paper products and cleaned up, too.  The girls had a blast and the only thing I had to do was bring the cupcakes.  Easiest party ever.

Best 8-year-old picture ever: four missing teeth on top and one on bottom.

Surprise Party for Peggy

Kami organized a surprise party for her mom's 70th birthday.  It was so sweet!  We used the opportunity for lots of family pictures.  Hannah and Olive got birthday presents, too, since it was between their birthdays.  They celebrated with my side of the family at a wedding and with Steve's side at a birthday party.

Lauren and Blake's Wedding

The weekend after spring break we traveled to Eldon for my cousin Lauren's wedding.  Justin and Becky moved back to Missouri in January, and it was the first time the whole family had been together for over 2 years.  And so we took some pictures.  We also celebrated Hannah and Olive's birthday in the hotel room since we had the whole family together.

My baby.  Most of my Meneely reunion memories are of carrying her on my hip.  I have always loved babies and kids and Lauren will always be my baby cousin.  Fun fact:  I first met her future husband at a Meneely reunion and we teased them about getting married...and now here we are.

It has also been years since we've had a cousin picture.  We didn't get it until the end of the night and Amanda had already changed out of her bridesmaid dress.  I love these people.

Hannah Stats- 10 years

Hannah is now 70 pounds and 5 feet 1 inch tall.  In the past year she gained 8 pounds and grew 3 inches.  Here are her stats from year onetwothreefourfivesixseveneight and nine.

Hannah is in 4th grade this year.  She is still a girl scout, soccer player, and student council representative.  She also added basketball and volleyball player to her resume. She continues to be the best big sister ever.  She is kind, patient, smart, hardworking, and responsible.  She loves reading and anything engineering related.  In her spare time she likes making inventions out of things she find around the house.

Here's what her teacher wrote on her most recent report card:  Hannah is such a hard worker! She comes to school everyday wanting to do her best! Math seems to be a strength for her. She catches on quickly to new concepts. The students have been working on logic puzzles, Breakouts, and whodunnits to practice thinking critically about math in real-world contexts. She has done well in language arts this quarter. She is able to comprehend what she reads and have discussions about books. She adds great details to her stories which make them fun to read.

Hannah's 10th Birthday Party

Hannah had her first birthday sleepover for her 10th birthday!  It was panda themed.  We decorated cupcakes, made clay crafts, ate pizza, played hide-and-seek, and of course finished up with popcorn and a movie.  I didn't get many pictures because I was so busy serving snacks all the time.  Hannah and her friends just included Olive in all their activities.  She really is the best big sister.

It was nice enough to play outside.

And there was some dress up.

She was very pleased with her fire cupcake.

She received some new panda friends.

Kate (a Hamilton fan) made her The Declaration of 10-dence and made her sign it.
