Turkey Day 2008 (Thursday)- We went to Steve's Grandma Alice's house in Trenton for Thanksgiving lunch. Most of his mom's side of the family was there. Alice just moved into a new place that is within walking distance of a park, so we took his cousin's kids over to play. Trent, the oldest, was the ringbearer in our wedding. He's now a sixth-grader. Connor is in pre-school. They were pretty impressed that we played on the equipment with them, although pregnant Megan is not quite as fun as non-pregnant Megan. I've noticed I get worn out pretty easily now. 
We went to my parents house for dinner and my great-uncle and great-aunt (on my mom's side) came over. After dinner we decided we would kick it old school with the original Nintendo. Marissa's boyfriend Casey had never witnessed the awesomeness that is playing World Class Track Meet on the PowerPad. The fetus slowed me down again, and I came in last place. We hit up the Nintendo throughout the weekend with competitions in Duck Hunt and Dr. Mario featuring prominently. Casey was pretty bad at Dr. Mario, but after intense coaching from Steve and Justin, he might turn out to be a contender.Friday- We had lunch with Steve's mom at the new Italian place in Chillicothe, Napolis. It's hard to catch new restaurants in Chillicothe before they go out of business. :) In the afternoon, we visited Steve's grandma Velma (an avid blog reader) then that night was the Meneely Thanksgiving at my Uncle John and Aunt Marilyn's house. Most of my dad's side was there minus some notable exceptions: Amanda and Jason, who were undoubtedly on a tight schedule with Jason back in the States on leave. Saturday- We had dinner at Steve's parents and then went over to the Palmer's to see Brooke and Ted. They are living in Milwaukee right now, but everyone is working hard to convince them to move back to KC.Sunday (Blogday)- We drove home and got ready for work. It's going to be tough adjusting to our old 'work' schedule. We got a little too used to our 'stay-up-until-2-and-play-video-games' schedule. Steve did some more work on the bathroom. I doubt any of them could even challenge Megan's Dr. Mario mad skills.
There were some epic games, but in the end a new champion emerged...
I think she claims "fetus" on that one too.
Thanksgiving is just an exhibition anyway, we don't get into 'belt' season until Christmas.
You'd better start working with the boys now.. our little lady is going to be a natural-born Dr.Mario Savant.

No way could the Meneelys compete with my Pole Position II skills. I remember it and Dark Chambers and Asteroids as my favorites. Only Asteroids made the top 10 list though.

Of course we would love to help you clean out your house. We'll take any and all of Steve's old things that you don't want to store. I can't promise they will stay at our house, though. We don't like to pile things up, but we would be happy to sell things on eBay or give them to Good Will. The Atari would probably go bye-bye because I can't imagine it being as cool as the PowerPad. :)
