We missed the kindergarten hat parade because we were on vacation, but that didn't stop us from making a hat! Olive actually wore it when we got back because she earned a "hat pass" to wear a hat to school. Olive put the hat together by herself. She wanted the exact hat Hannah used in kindergarten. The hat is supposed to show her personality, and that is very much Olive: wanting to be just like her sister. Plus her favorite color is purple. It had:
- soccer balls because she is on a soccer team
- swim goggles because she loves swimming and she takes lessons each summer
- lego elf because she wants to spend all of her free time playing legos
- owl because that is her favorite animal and her room is decorated in owls
- space scene because she likes outer space and that is what she wants in her room next
- Captain America shield because he is her favorite superhero and it is her school backpack

It does show Olive personality with all the things on the hat.
Plus pure Olive She liked the hat she used the hat didn't matter if it was Hannah's hat.
