Apple Cider

The girls loved making apple cider last year and it worked out that they were in town for it again this year.  Granny and Papa were babysitting them so Steve and I could go to a 2nd grade parent party on Friday night, work on a Christmas in October house all day Saturday, and then go to a kindergarten parent party Saturday night.  On Sunday we drove to Chillicothe to meet the kids at apple cider making.  It was a packed weekend!  It was fun to meet new parents at school and we accomplished a TON of stuff on the Christmas in October house including painting the whole exterior, new landscaping, ripping out an old fence, pouring new concrete for steps, cleaning out the whole basement, installing a new door, and painting a hallway.  By the time we got to Chillicothe I was exhausted and didn't really feel like doing any more work.  But I did take pictures of other people working. :)

Hannah was really looking forward to making cider again.  She loves working on assembly lines.

The sweat bees were really bad this year.  Olive got stung once and Granny got three stings!  Cider making is dangerous work!

They weren't SWEAT bees but honey bees.
So just think somewhere is a hive with apple honey...sounds yummy!!!
It was just excessive the number of worker bees we had everywhere.
