Olive's birthday was on Good Friday this year and we didn't have school. She had her very first friends birthday party and we invited all the girls in her class. It was at Cosmic Jump because Olive wanted a space theme. Like Hannah, Olive was sick on her birthday, but it was just a runny nose and cough. And maybe it was the cold that made her cranky, or maybe it was just too much birthday excitement...but she was even more emotional than usual. For example, it took her close to three hours to pick out a pair of pants to wear. She tried on absolutely everything she owned and declared them all "too scratchy." As I've said many times, life with Olive is never dull! She gives me all my best parenting stories. :)
There were separate trampolines for little and big kids. The kindergarteners were all on the 7 and under area. Hannah (a new 8 year old) jumped in the big kid area with Marissa and Casey. She was super excited to jump with them! I only got a few blurry pictures of Hannah.
Grandma and Grandpa were also at the party to celebrate with the birthday girl.
You'd never know the cranky morning she had from that big smile on her face. She asked me to take her picture while she did some crazy jumps.
After the party, my family came back to our house for dinner and opening more presents. Here she is in her new space suit. Astronaut Olive is ready for take-off!
